Role SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Service Operations Specialist to join our Import team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for executing essential import processes and adhering to rigorous policies and procedures to ensure optimal service delivery for our internal and external stakeholders. You will manage comprehensive checklists at the individual vessel and port level to verify that all inbound cargo is correctly filed with USCBP, local terminals, and port operations.
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with vendors and terminals to coordinate the release of general import cargo, as well as special cargo including refrigerated units requiring cold treatment, out-of-gauge, and break-bulk shipments. You will also monitor cargo movement during USCBP examinations to ensure swift release and delivery once clearance is obtained. This position reports directly to the Service Operations Supervisor.
Processing import vessels and cargo to ensure proper procedures and policies are followed.
Assist with training of staff and the maintenance of training materials.
Assist with internal/external customer concerns and sales inquiries.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving cargo movement
including customs, logistical, and technical challenges
Case handling in ONEForce, ONE COD Portal and Terminal operating systems as appropriate.
Develop and maintain a knowledge base of evolving products and services

Customs and logistics knowledge is a plus but not required.
