Drivers haul dry van freight across established regional lanes with consistent customer demand supporting regular load movement. Most freight is drop-and-hook, with some live unload deliveries depending on the customer. Average hauls of 700–750 miles help drivers maintain productive mileage without relying on frequent short trips throughout the week.
Drivers follow a structured 12-day operating cycle with a guaranteed 48-hour reset every other weekend. Loads are planned ahead whenever possible to provide smoother transitions between assignments and reduce unnecessary waiting. Consistent dispatch coordination helps create a routine that drivers can expect from one work cycle to the next.
Drivers operate 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors with automatic transmissions. Trucks include APUs, inverters, refrigerator space, and TV and microwave mounts for additional comfort during regional runs. Preventive maintenance is scheduled regularly to help reduce unexpected downtime and keep equipment reliable.
Weekly earnings average $1,350–$1,500 based on miles and experience. Additional detention compensation is available during qualifying delays. After 6 months, drivers become eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and participation in a 401(k) retirement plan.
The 12-day schedule is followed by a full 48-hour reset every other weekend, providing dependable home time throughout the month. Drivers may take assigned trucks home during resets when safe parking is available or use an approved parking location. Rider and pet programs are also available for approved drivers.
