Bus Driver Custodianisresponsibleforensuringthechildrenaretransportedinsafe ,timelyandappropriate manner.
The Bus Driverisresponsibleforthesupervisionofchildrenonthebusalongwiththesupportof the Floater/Bus position.
Keep building in clean and orderly condition performing routine maintenance activities, notifyingsupervisorsof needed repairs.
Keep premises neatly groomed and safe by cleaning snow and debris from sidewalks, etc.
Inspire Development Centersprovideearly Childhood Education (ECE) and social services to 3,110 children incenter-based and home-based setting, at more than 25 Child Development Centers (CDC) throughout the State of Washington.
At these sites, Inspire employs over 1,000staff on a $52 million annual budget.
Inspireprovides theseservicesundervariousfederalandstatefunded programs with differing regulations and stipulations, which must be coordinated and adhered to, including, but not limitedto:
Regional Head Start (RHS),Migrant Seasonal Head Start (MSHS),Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP),and Early Head Start (EHS).The organizationisrequired tomeet an annual quota of non-federal share (in-kind) funds.
A large majority of children’s first language is Spanish.

Otheressentialduties maybe assignedconsistentlywith the general scope of the position.
The Bus Driver is the final authority and responsible for the health,safetyandwellbeingof all bus occupantswhileinroute.
Establishes andmaintainsbus route in coordination with Family Service Workerforreviewandapprovalof Center Manager .Runsfixedroutesaswritten;does notmakesunauthorizedchangestoroutesorstops.
Limitcellphoneusageforemergency purposes and otheragenciesprescribed protocol.
Responsible for ensuringgeneral maintenance ofbusesandensurea clean and hygienic environmentkeepthebusinworkingorder.
Responsibletomaintainandcompleteattendance log, mileage buslogandmaintenance log daily. Provides training to Bus Monitor(s) throughout the year as needed.
Responsible for providing in-servicetrainingto staff,parentsandconduct
Emergency Bus Evacuation.
Participateinlocalcentermeetingstoprovideorientationonbussafety/protocols to include safety drills and evacuation plans.
Responsible to provide/receive written/oral information between center staff and parent participants.
Immediatelyreportsincidents,accidents, or unusual situations (i.e.child abuse reports,etc.)thatcouldordidplaceachildatriskofinjuryandwillingand abletodescribesuch incidents in writing.
Conductsapre-tripinspectionofthevehicledriveneverydayandreportsuspectedmechanical problems duct a thorough post-trip inspection for children or other items left on board at the conclusion of each trip.
Responsibletosweep,vacuum,mop,dust,clean,anddisinfectclassroomssinks,restrooms,andcommon areas.
Responsible for disposal of all garbage and disinfect wastebaskets or garbage cans daily.
Keep outside equipment clean and in good/safe working conditions, (i.e.lawn mowers, shop vacuums, extractor, etc.). Strip, wax, and polish floors and shampoo carpets according to center schedule.
Responsibletokeepsidewalks,parking lot,andplaygroundareassafefromhazards.
