About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Fleet Operations Coordinator to manage and optimize their fleet operations entirely from a remote setting. This role is central to ensuring the efficiency, safety, and compliance of our distributed fleet. You will leverage technology and communication tools to oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, driver coordination, route planning, and adherence to regulatory standards. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced logistics professional who thrives in an independent work environment and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily fleet activities, including vehicle dispatch, scheduling, and route optimization for drivers across various locations.
- Monitor fleet performance using telematics and reporting software, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained according to schedule and that compliance with safety regulations is upheld.
- Manage driver communication, providing support and addressing operational challenges remotely.
- Process and analyze operational data to generate reports on fleet efficiency, costs, and key performance indicators.
- Liaise with maintenance providers and suppliers to schedule repairs and manage parts inventory.
- Proven experience in fleet management , logistics coordination, or a similar operations role.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations , and transportation best practices.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and common office productivity tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage tasks effectively in a remote environment .
