Remote Logistics & Fleet Dispatcher - National Network

Our client, a national logistics and supply chain provider, is actively seeking a highly experienced Remote Logistics & Fleet Dispatcher to oversee and manage their extensive fleet operations across South Africa. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to our client's success from your own home office. You will be responsible for the real-time monitoring, dispatching, and optimization of a large fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient delivery routes, adherence to schedules, and compliance with safety regulations.

• Monitor and manage the real-time location and status of a large national fleet using advanced tracking software.
• Dispatch drivers and vehicles efficiently, optimizing routes for timely and cost-effective deliveries across various regions.
• Coordinate with drivers to address route deviations, delays, and any operational issues that arise.
• Ensure strict adherence to delivery schedules and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Communicate effectively with operations managers, customer service, and other stakeholders regarding fleet performance and delivery status.
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatched activities, including driver hours, route details, and delivery confirmations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance for all fleet operations.
• Analyze fleet data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges promptly to minimize disruption.
• Collaborate with fleet maintenance teams to schedule necessary repairs and servicing.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation management.
• Proven expertise in managing large fleets and complex national distribution networks.
• Proficiency in advanced fleet management and dispatch software (e.g., GPS tracking systems, route optimization tools).
• Excellent understanding of South African road networks and transportation regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience coordinating remote teams.
