The Material Handler is a full-time, hybrid role based in Tomball, TX, with some work-from-home flexibility for administrative and inventory-related tasks. On-site responsibilities include receiving, unloading, and organizing materials, accurately labeling and storing items, and preparing orders for shipment or internal use. The role involves maintaining inventory records, assisting with cycle counts, and coordinating with the shipping and receiving team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
The Material Handler will follow safety procedures, use material handling equipment as required, and communicate with project managers and procurement staff to support daily operational needs. Remote duties may include updating inventory systems, tracking orders, and handling documentation to keep records accurate and up to date.
- Experience with material handling, including safe movement, storage, and organization of materials.
- Skills in shipping and receiving, including verifying deliveries, preparing shipments, and handling documentation.
- Ability to perform unloading and packing tasks, ensuring items are handled carefully and prepared correctly for use or shipment.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, including data entry, stock monitoring, and participation in inventory counts.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) in a safe manner.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and basic computer proficiency for inventory and documentation systems.
- Reliable work habits, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and willingness to support hybrid on-site/remote work requirements.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or supply environment preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
