Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a Accounting Manager for an excellent position located near Ontario, CA or the surrounding area. This is a key leadership role partnering with company executives, driving strategy, and financial integrity across operations and support functions.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily accounting operations such as G/L management, A/P, A/R, payroll, month-end, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Responsible for all cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, job costing, and manufacturing cost optimization.
• Maintain internal controls, support audits, and lead management of surplus and outdated inventory to protect financial performance.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and commercial teams to improve business results through financial analysis and continuous improvement.
• Utilized systems for accurate costing, inventory valuation, operational analytics, and reporting.
• Partner with production operations and corporate teams.

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Accounting major highly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in an accounting leadership/ownership or Plant Controller level role.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and surplus/obsolete inventory management.
• Experience with cost accounting and manufacturing industry preferred.
• Comfortable with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Proven leadership and influence skills to partner effectively across departments and with senior leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
