POSITION OVERVIEW:
GS Foods Group is seeking an Analyst, Optimization to support replenishment, inventory, and sourcing decisions through high-quality analytics, reporting, and operational support. This role enables strong decision quality across planning, replenishment, and buying by ensuring leaders operate from a single, trusted version of inventory truth.
The Analyst works closely with the Inventory Strategy & Optimization and S&OP teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across planning, replenishment, and performance management processes. This role supports adoption of inventory policies and system-generated recommendations while maintaining core dashboards, executing recurring analyses, and supporting day-to-day replenishment optimization activities that improve inventory health, service levels, and buying efficiency.
This is a highly analytical, detail-oriented role that operates at the center of data integrity and operational performance.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain core dashboards, reports, and analytical models supporting inventory and replenishment decisions.
- Execute recurring analyses supporting replenishment, planning, and performance review cadences.
- Monitor and support inventory health metrics, including DIOH, turns, service levels, and aged/at-risk inventory.
- Support upkeep, validation, and maintenance of replenishment parameters and system outputs (e.g., SOQs, inventory targets).
- Independently diagnose and resolve analytical issues impacting replenishment and planning decisions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistent metric definitions, and version control across reports and dashboards.
- Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve reporting and analytical processes.
- Support adoption and quality of system-generated replenishment targets, including troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools required (SQL a plus).
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with a high standard for data accuracy and integrity.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross‑functional environment.
- Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to independently diagnose analytical and reporting issues.
- Comfort working with large datasets and operational performance metrics.
EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE:
- 0–1 years of experience in analytics, supply chain, procurement, or related roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, analytics, supply chain, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent military or professional experience.
