EFG First is launching a new Commercial Lending Division within our established commercial real estate brokerage — and we are seeking a proven Commercial Loan Officer to help build, shape, and lead this platform from the ground up.

This is a visible, high-impact position inside an active brokerage environment with built-in deal flow and direct broker collaboration.

If you thrive on in-person deal making, whiteboard structuring sessions, and being the trusted financing authority in the room — this is your seat at the table.

You won’t be stepping into a rigid banking structure.

What You’ll Do
  • Originate and structure owner-user, seller/user, and commercial real estate loans — including complex or non-traditional scenarios
  • Work onsite in our Ontario office, collaborating daily with brokers and leadership
  • Lead live financing workshops and deal-structuring sessions to elevate broker confidence and referral quality
  • Leverage built-in brokerage transactions while growing your own book of business
  • Serve as the go-to capital advisor for owners, investors, and commercial agents
  • Establish processes, lending guidelines, and best practices as the division expands

Requirements

  • 5+ years in commercial, bank, or private lending
  • Proven success structuring owner-user commercial transactions
  • Existing referral network or book of business preferred
  • Ability to work onsite in Ontario, CA
  • Strong presentation and advisory communication skills
  • California DRE license (required or obtainable before start)
Compensation & Earning Potential
  • $3,000 guaranteed first-month base (not deducted from commissions)
  • Commission-based split, uncapped earnings
  • Ongoing monthly draw against commissions
  • Additional 0.25 bps based on funded loan volume
  • Sign-on bonus possible for candidates with active pipeline

Typical Earnings:

  • Strong producer: $200K+
