Overview
An employee-owned civil engineering organization is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer I/II to join its Ontario, California office. This role supports a broad range of land development and infrastructure projects, including residential, commercial, and public-sector work. The position emphasizes technical design, project coordination, and mentorship within a collaborative, quality-driven engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engineering designs, calculations, and construction plans for grading, drainage, and utility systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and public agencies to ensure design accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders during construction.
- Perform quality assurance reviews and oversee technical work completed by junior engineering staff.
- Contribute to a collaborative, problem-solving team environment focused on technical excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of professional civil engineering design experience in land development or site engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
