Our U.S. team works closely with clients, designers, equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and field teams to deliver integrated solutions from preconstruction and design coordination through construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to support cleanroom and technically complex industrial construction projects. This position will be primarily based in our Ontario, California office, with travel to project sites as needed for field coordination, installation support, inspections, testing, commissioning, and other project requirements.
As part of a growing U.S. operation, this position will support multiple functions across preconstruction, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
What You'll Do- Provide HVAC engineering design review, coordination, and technical support for cleanroom, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, and other industrial projects.
- Develop, review, and coordinate HVAC system solutions, including air conditioning, ventilation, exhaust, cleanroom pressure control, temperature and humidity control, and equipment selection.
- Review HVAC drawings, equipment submittals, technical specifications, bills of materials, shop drawings, and contractor submissions.
- Coordinate HVAC systems with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, process utilities, fire protection, controls, and other disciplines.
- Support coordination of plumbing, process utilities, and industrial piping systems as required by project scope.
- Work with design consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, project managers, and field teams to resolve technical and constructability issues.
- Support mechanical equipment procurement, installation, inspections, testing, commissioning, system validation, final acceptance, and project closeout.
- Travel to project sites as needed to provide technical and field support.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in HVAC engineering, industrial construction, construction coordination, or field engineering.
- Strong experience reading, reviewing, and coordinating HVAC construction drawings, equipment submittals, technical specifications, and engineering documents.
- Familiarity with applicable U.S. HVAC and building codes and standards, including ASHRAE, IMC, IBC, NFPA, and applicable local codes.
- Experience with HVAC/mechanical equipment selection, installation, and multidisciplinary MEP coordination.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit, with familiarity with construction/document coordination tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or BIM 360.
- Strong English communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and construction-site safety practices.
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship may be evaluated based on the candidate's qualifications and individual circumstances.
- Direct experience with clean rooms, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, electronics, laboratory, food-processing, healthcare, or other technically complex industrial facilities.
- Experience coordinating HVAC, plumbing, process utilities, or industrial piping systems.
- Experience supporting projects through construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
- PE license or EIT certification is preferred but not required.
- Direct experience working with U.S. contractors, subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and field construction teams.
Estimated Base Salary: $ per year
Actual compensation will depend on the candidate's experience, technical qualifications, cleanroom and industrial project background, professional credentials, and overall fit for the position.
Work LocationThis is primarily an office-based position, with travel to project sites throughout the United States as needed based on project requirements.
