POSITION SUMMARYGS Foods is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to support Treasury and Accounting administrative functions across all locations nationwide for the private equity-backed GS Foods Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries ("GS Foods" or the "Company").
Based in Ontario, California, this position will play a key role in cash forecasting and analytics, working capital management, liquidity and debt management, treasury operations, controls, and process improvement. The Senior Treasury Analyst will partner closely with the Corporate Treasurer and other Finance stakeholders to strengthen treasury processes, enhance analytical capabilities, and support the continued growth of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cash Forecasting & Analytics- Prepare the weekly 13-week direct-method cash flow forecast across all operating entities in partnership with the Corporate Treasurer, including gathering and validating inputs, building the collections waterfall and disbursement timing, and producing the weekly roll-forward.
- Maintain and continuously improve the forecast model by strengthening mechanics, reducing manual effort, and recommending refinements to methodology and assumptions.
- Prepare forecast-to-actual variance analysis by decomposing variances by driver, including collections timing, AP timing, and revolver activity.
- Track forecast accuracy over time and identify insights that can strengthen future forecasting assumptions.
- Build and run scenario and sensitivity analyses, including base, downside, and stress scenarios, quantifying liquidity headroom under each.
- Explicitly model the seasonal back-to-school working capital build and summer trough .
- Safeguard model integrity by designing forecast logic and toggles that are auditable and fail visibly rather than silently.
- Analyze and report on working capital performance, including DSO, DPO, DIO, and the cash conversion cycle across entities.
- Incorporate the seasonal K-12 business cycle into working capital analysis and provide entity-level comparability within a roll-up environment.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of working capital drivers and effectively explain what is impacting receivables, payables, and inventory and how each translates into cash.
- Support the identification of working capital opportunities, including collections acceleration and payment-term optimization.
- Quantify the cash impact of potential working capital initiatives to support leadership and sponsor discussions.
- Support daily cash positioning, target-balance management, and funding of disbursement accounts.
- Compile inputs for covenant compliance, including leverage and fixed-charge coverage.
- Proactively identify and flag potential covenant headroom risks.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor to the Treasury Analyst, sharing forecasting, analytics, and process knowledge to strengthen the overall capability of the team.
- Set the standard for analytical rigor and process discipline by modeling strong documentation, automation, and control practices.
- Help build and improve treasury processes and training as the function scales, including contributing to procedures and cross-training initiatives.
- Support bank account administration, online banking platform management, and entity-level account structure.
- Maintain treasury SOX controls and related documentation.
- Support month-end treasury close activities.
