CAREERS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Join our outstanding Sales Team in Ontario, CA! We are currently looking for a Bilingual Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist who will provide a great patient and customer experience that will result in the growth of diabetes program. A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, you are responsible for autonomous clinical case management and educating patients on the necessary lifestyle changes involved in a diabetes diagnosis including nutrition, medication, physical activity, and glucose testing. You will develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, referral sources and vendors. You will work with physicians and referral sources regarding the patient’s diabetic needs in various aspects of diabetes care for patients and families with pre-diabetes, Type 1 diabetes, and Type 2 diabetes.

Your focus will be to grow accounts with diabetes patients, take the lead on the diabetes program and contribute to the curriculum development.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Using your clinical nutrition expertise, you will function as an integral part of the patient’s care team while working to maximize revenue potential in key accounts Work in conjunction with the Shield Sales Representatives to maximize diabetic sales in an assigned territory As a subject matter expert, provide recommendations, develop, test, and implement nutrition education tools to be used in the field Work with Sales and Marketing teams to increase Diabetes business Work on outreach efforts to increase community knowledge of the diabetes product line Participate in community events and health fairs Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED Must be a current Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist Must be bilingual in English and Spanish Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to sell a service and promote a product line Be assertive, work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure Ability to travel PREFERRED Registered Dietitian licensure Previous experience with case management 2 years of pediatric experience Master’s Degree in Nursing, Nutrition, or healthcare related field CGM Sensor and Pump training and management.
