Payroll Manager - Leading Industrial Manufacturer

Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario Package: $90,000 - $100,000 + Training + Clear Progression Path + Comprehensive Benefits

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a strategic Payroll Manager to join a premier North American manufacturer. This is a technically challenging role within a highly stable, global organization currently undergoing a period of significant strategic expansion.

As a market leader in the industrial sector, this organization operates an extensive network of manufacturing sites across North America. Following a successful year of high-profile acquisitions, the company has aggressive growth plans for the coming 12-18 months. We are seeking a Payroll professional who will be pivotal in integrating these new business units and supporting our long-term scaling strategy.

In this key leadership position, you will hold full accountability for the payroll, benefits, and compensation functions for a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management: Audit, manage, and optimize relationships with current payroll and benefits providers; lead the implementation of new vendors where necessary.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a subject matter expert for key internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Process Integration: Oversee the transition and harmonization of payroll functions following recent and future corporate acquisitions.
• Total Rewards: Manage the end-to-end administration of employee compensation and benefit programs.

Required Qualifications:

  Proven track record managing payroll within a manufacturing or industrial setting (handling hourly and salaried complexity).
• Functional Expertise: Deep knowledge of payroll compliance, benefits administration, and compensation structures.
• Strategic Mindset: Experience in vendor transitions or system implementations is highly desirable.
• Location: Must be commutable to the northern GTA region.
