Job DescriptionPosition Overview: The Freezer Lead under the supervision of the Warehouse/Freezer Supervisor performs a variety of warehouse duties that may include taking inventory, packing, pulling/checking customer orders, replenishments, shipping, and material handling. Checking route sales inventory for verification of accuracy. Will operate hand and power equipment for material handling to accommodate storage of products throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities- Responsible for coordination and control of the handling, storage, location and flow of finished product through warehouse area.
- Sets up, instructs, and maintains the work flow of the Shift.
- Receives daily inbound loads of product and plans shipping, arranges for excess product to be stored in the warehouse area, checks and inspects work of shift team members.
- Adjusts storage space assignments to handle daily flow of finished product and makes sure team is operating safely. Ensures all shift team members are wearing their PPE equipment.
- Checks availability of items to be shipped by checking inventory records or conducting a spot inventory of required product.
- Identifies and reports slow moving product.
- Identifies and rotates product accordingly, ensuring quantity of cases of each and best by dates are logged and identified properly.
- Keeps management and Supervisor informed as to the status of Finished Goods Inventory and reports any discrepancies.
- Ensures that all products are transferred and delivered to the designated location as requested.
- Ensures that all necessary reports and forms are filled out and submitted in a timely manner.
- Picks orders for shipment and assumes other responsibilities from time to time as directed.
- Trains new employees in job duties.
- Signs off on completion reports.
- Safeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including PPE.
- Ensures all areas are kept clean at all times.
- Attends all company training sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations.
- Certified as a Forklift Operator.
- Responsible, dependable, conscientious, alert, and safety‑minded.
- Good math skills.
- Excellent attendance and safety record.
- Knowledge in Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
- Must be able to work in a freezer temperature of
-20 °F. - Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
High school diploma or GED, or two‑three years’ experience as a warehouse team member and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities- Adheres to all Food Safety/Quality SOPs.
- Accurately completes required Food Safety & Quality records.
- Communicates any known or suspected Food Safety/Quality issues to the Q.A Manager and Department Manager.
- Responsible for reporting any food safety concerns or tampering with product.
- Attends all Food Safety/Quality training sessions.

Work EnvironmentWork is normally performed in a warehouse/production environment. As part of the job requirements, employee may be exposed to work in a production setting and cold temperature (–20 °F) t be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24‑hour production facility. Schedule may include weekends.
