Precision machine shop serving the defense and aerospace industries is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer & Setter to join their team. This shop specializes in CNC multi-axis lathe machining and 5-axis milling, producing high-precision components.

Job Details:

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be at the forefront of our operations, programming and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts. You will be instrumental in ensuring our products are produced with precision, meeting our high‑quality standards. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity for professional growth in a fast‑paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • 1. Develop and implement CNC programs for various machines using CAD software.
  • 2. Interpret and read complex blueprints, plans, and designs.
  • 3. Perform machine setups and conduct trial runs to ensure programmed instructions lead to desired outcomes.
  • 4. Modify and optimize CNC programs to enhance efficiency and output.
  • 5. Ensure all CNC machines function properly and perform regular maintenance checks.
  • 6. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • 7. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to understand product requirements and provide technical support.
  • 8. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the production process.
  • 9. Document all programming actions and changes accurately.
  • 10. Stay updated with latest technologies and techniques in CNC programming and machine operation.
Qualifications
  • 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in the manufacturing industry.
  • 2. Proficient in CAD software and CNC machine operation.
  • 3. Strong mechanical skills and the ability to interpret and read blueprints.
  • 4. Solid understanding of CNC programming and the ability to develop and optimize programs.
  • 5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • 6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce parts with precision.
  • 7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • 8. Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • 9. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • 10. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a related field is a plus.
