Clinical Faculty Operations Manager

Overview

American Career College seeks an associate who will join a collaborative, student-centric culture to support academic integrity, student learning, service, responsiveness, innovation, diversity, and stewardship. You will guide students to make a positive impact on patient care throughout their careers and share your expertise with the next generation of nurses.

• Oversee the clinical instructor team within the Vocational Nursing Program to ensure high-quality clinical education and compliance with program standards.
• Hire, onboard, and train clinical faculty; conduct site visits and observations; and support clinical instruction operations across assigned sites.
• Visit clinical sites to ensure high-quality instruction and adherence to regulatory standards.

OPTION 1 (must align with Education for OPTION 1 below)

• 2 years nursing experience as an RN or LVN within the last 5 years.

OPTION 2 (must align with Education for OPTION 2 below)

• 6 years nursing experience as LVN and RN combined or 6 years of either.

OPTION 1 (must align with Knowledge/Experience for OPTION 1 above)

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited school recognized by the DOE. Completion of a course or courses offered by an approved school with instruction in teaching; OR
• California teaching certificate. Completion of a course or courses offered by an approved school with instruction in teaching; OR
• Completion of at least a minimum of one (1) year full-time teaching experience in a state-accredited or approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing school within the last 5 years.
• May be required by clinical partners and/or clinical sites to obtain certain vaccinations, vaccine boosters, drug screening tests, or comply with other prerequisites as mandated by them.
• Current CPR Card.

OPTION 2 (must align with Knowledge/Experience for OPTION 2 above)

• Meet community college or state university educational minimums (ADN) teaching requirements in California.
• Current active California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• May be required by clinical partners and/or clinical sites to obtain certain vaccinations, vaccine boosters, drug screening tests, or comply with other prerequisites as mandated by them.
• Current CPR Card.
