Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• The quality engineer is responsible for maintaining Datwyler’s quality system and completing various quality department activities
• Maintains quality manual and quality procedures
• Prepares material certifications
• Maintains test results for material certifications
• Maintains quality department forms, drawings, customer and industry specifications
• Helps other departments resolve quality problems
• Assists other departments to improve product and process quality and handle quality-related matters
• Recommends specific product and process improvements
• Assists in completing internal audits
• Assists in completing RC/CA
• Makes disposition of customer returns
• Assists in maintaining ISO and AS quality certifications
• Responds to customer requests for non-routine quality projects and information
• Approves and maintains all elements of PPAP
• Approves first articles and maintains first article backlog

• Two years’ experience in a quality, engineering, or operations position
• College degree with emphasis in engineering, statistics, mathematics, or business administration
• Knowledge of quality system management requirements
• Very good use of Microsoft Windows and Office programs
• Very good verbal and written communication skills
• This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
