Under the direction of the Commissary Manager, the Commissary Supervisor coordinates the commissary at the jail so that each location receives the correct product.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 to $25.00.

• Supervise the receiving, tagging, pricing, and storing of all incoming merchandise.
• Assign daily tasks to commissary staff and ensure tasks are performed correctly and timely, while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Coordinate the movement of incoming merchandise to retail office, storage area(s), and display floor.
• Cashier when necessary to expedite guest purchasing.
• Orchestrate special projects (e.g., holidays, events, book signings).
• Provide information to team members on new products or procedures via the information book on the floor.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Commissary Manager to inventory and maximize productivity on the floor.
• Maintain full understanding of the point‑of‑sale system.
• Assist guests in any possible way.
• Train new hires on the POS system, overall safety, and job responsibilities.
• Follow, implement, and follow up all emergency procedures.

• Two years’ experience in a similar employment environment, or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing, and may require uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE).
