Security Officer Screening Role - Ontario, CAPosition Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $21.89 / Hour
Schedule: Monday 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM;
Tuesday 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM;
Friday 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM;
Saturday 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM;
Sunday 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
- Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or shipments entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter, with attention to unusual activity and other security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs, screening records, and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with site personnel, drivers, and visitors regarding access procedures and security-related expectations.
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
