Reno / Service Technician - Ontario/San Gabriel Valley

The Reno / Service Technician performs a wide range of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to clean, maintain, repair, and upgrade the interior and exterior of residential units across the Ontario area. This role covers work in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, masonry, and appliance repair and installation, ensuring residential properties remain safe, functional, and in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, alterations, maintenance, and repairs on the inside and outside of residential units.
• Complete carpentry tasks such as framing, trim work, and general wood repairs to maintain and improve unit interiors and exteriors.
• Carry out electrical work, including basic wiring, installing fixtures, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues in residential settings.
• Handle plumbing repairs and installations, such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and ensuring proper function of plumbing systems.
• Assist with HVAC-related tasks, including basic maintenance and minor repairs to heating and cooling systems.
• Perform painting projects, including surface preparation, priming, and finishing to maintain a clean and updated appearance of units.
• Repair and install drywall, including patching, sanding, and finishing to restore damaged walls and ceilings.
• Support masonry-related work, such as minor concrete or brick repairs, to preserve structural integrity and appearance.
• Repair, install, and maintain residential appliances to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete construction, repair, and maintenance tasks.
• Travel to various job sites throughout the surrounding Ontario area and Inland Empire to perform on-site service work.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to understand work orders and complete tasks according to quality standards.
• Maintain a positive, willing-to-learn attitude while adapting to different tasks and job site conditions.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in at least two of the following four disciplines: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall repair.
• Ability to perform general construction and maintenance tasks in residential units.
• Competence using hand and power tools, including the ability to work safely and efficiently.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic issues in building systems and appliances.
• Capability to work under general supervision and follow instructions and work orders accurately.
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
• Positive attitude and reliability in attending scheduled work across multiple locations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with painting, including preparation and finishing, in residential environments.
• Familiarity with electrical work such as running conduit and basic wiring tasks.
• Experience with plumbing tasks, including installing and repairing fixtures and lines.
• Background in construction, carpentry, and drywall installation or repair.
• Ability to effectively use key tools such as a sawzall, cordless drill or impact driver, finish nail gun, and grinder.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus and can enhance service quality across diverse communities.
