Job Title:
Valet Parking Attendant – Ontario (Full‑time, PCI Ontario Airport, Ontario, CA 91761). Salary: $17.75 per hour. Shift: Any.
Valet Attendants greet customers and process them into the valet parking management system (netPARK). They handle vehicle storage and retrieval, assisting customers with check‑in, luggage, and vehicle location.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Read, speak, and comprehend English, including simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Greet customers and provide accurate airport information on parking rates, terminal directions, and general information.
- Open and close valet tickets using netPARK.
- Run revenue, audit, storage, and additional reports as needed.
- Assist customers with luggage in and out of vehicles.
- Provide breaks to other attendants when required.
- Process prepaid parking transactions.
- Open/close lanes by placing a cone in the drive lane and in between vehicles, as directed.
- Assist customers with locating their vehicles upon request.
- Provide management with accurate vehicle counts for holding lot(s) and report any customer incidents to PCI management.
- Maintain a clean and orderly booth and surrounding areas of the valet stand.
- Follow direction and communicate clearly with all levels of PCI supervision/management.
- Work well with others in a fast‑paced environment.
- Write clearly and document all required information on daily paperwork forms.
- Sit, pivot, or stand for up to 8+ hours during peak arrival/departure times.
- Provide customer service skills following company guidelines.
- Safely and efficiently move customers' vehicles from the valet curb to the holding lot and back.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED, or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Class C driver license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English.
- Ability to write simple notations that effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers; multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, using American money units.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions; handle problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Operate POS terminal and handheld iPhone components of netPARK; no further computer skills required.
- Communicate effectively in English.
- Follow directions and communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Work well with others as a team player in a fast‑pace work environment; direct and motivate employees.
- Detail‑oriented with good organizational skills.
- Must wear complete and proper uniforms.
Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; stand and walk; occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Requires close, distance, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentExposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, moderate noise level. Work environment involves frequent interaction with customers and vehicle handling.
Additional InformationIdeal candidates have a clean driving record, meet company insurance requirements, and ideally can drive a vehicle with a manual transmission. Candidates will be drug tested.
