Position: Materials Inventory Technician (Crew D) Ontario, OR

Summary

The Materials Inventory Control Technician will be responsible for monitoring daily movements of inventory by preparing and maintaining records of inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain necessary level of communication with team members and other support groups in a participative management style conducive to operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, plant procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Manage the inventory of the dry ingredient room, load and unload trucks, and inspect incoming supplies.
  • Accurately monitor the movement of materials and ingredients to ensure First In First Out (FIFO); monitor production schedule to ensure appropriate materials are staged for use and reconcile unused materials.
  • Conduct cycle counts, reconcile inventory, and audit data; monitor inventory of food grade starch and coordinate pick up with customer.
  • Maintain Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs:
    • Work within safety rules and regulations to actively avoid injury to self and others.
    • Ensure proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of all processing equipment and tools.
  • Utilize computer and computer programs to communicate, document, and track shift information; ensure all documents and reports are completed accurately, timely, and efficiently.
  • Operate a forklift and conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment.
  • Perform proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of the dry ingredient storage area.
  • Strong analysis skills required to resolve complex inventory reconciliation issues.
  • Advanced knowledge of Computer Systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and initiative-driven.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated and freezing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with large volumes of data.
Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Other Information
  • Shift: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am
  • Pay: $23.16 per hour + Night Differential
