Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you'll have the opportunity to work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.70 to $17.70 depending on your skills and experience.
- We provide paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
- Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are between 2 and 12 hours.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device you restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. You use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report hours, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital. - Holiday support:
Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours. On holidays like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, you may be required to work the actual holiday or weekends. - Department resets:
When needed you may be part of a team installing and relocating Hallmark fixtures and product displays. Typically you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which could include evenings or weekends. - Team support:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization you are part of a network of merchandisers who support other team members as needed in their territories.
This position requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Able to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
