DescriptionFranz Family Bakery, founded in 1906 in the Pacific Northwest, produces a variety of baked products marketed under premium labels. The company employs over 4,000 employees and distributes products in Alaska, Idaho, California, Utah, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
We are seeking a Retail Outlet Associate to join our fast‑paced team during the next three months (June, July, August). This temporary position may transition into a regular role. The associate will ensure Franz customers have the best products on the shelves and provide excellent customer service.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Engage with customers, answer inquiries about merchandise, and advise on merchandise selections.
- Itemize and tally customers' merchandise at checkout using the POS (point of sale) system, administering change accurately.
- Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be restocked or ordered.
- Effectively stock and restock store shelves, racks, cases, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
- Organize merchandise received from depots and prepare products for sale in store.
- Clean display cases, shelves, floors, and aisles.
- Perform routine accounting tasks following established procedures to record daily transactions.
- Ensure safety of store operations by opening store or securing store upon closure as directed.
- Support and adhere to Franz Core Values.
- Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
- Part‑time temporary position; less than 19 hours per week. Saturday work is required. Hours vary based on business need.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience with cash handling processes.
- Solid work history of at least one year at previous jobs is preferred.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre‑employment math test, background check, drug screen, and physical.
- Strong work ethic and safety orientation.
- Ability to maneuver large bulky racks and lift an average of 25 pounds regularly.
- Willingness to perform light accounting duties, inventory counts, and product ordering.
