Retail Scan Associate; Ontario

Job Summary

This is a permanent part‑time role. A Scan Scape Retail Scan Associate visits a selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps throughout the store. The collected data is analyzed to improve sales performance for products and retailers.

• Perform in‑store data collections at assigned retailers weekly for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes in multiple locations throughout each store.
• Report to the store within the specified deadline.
• Complete display scanning for the entire store; this takes several hours.
• Engage in custom projects requested by clients, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours of work weekly for each store.
• Provide the quantity of approximately 45% of the products scanned.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines, maintain high quality and dependability.

Base hours: 6–10 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours (typically 1–2 per week per store) are assigned for special projects, especially January through June.

Route examples (possible store types):
Grocery Store Vale (Wednesday/Thursday), Convenience Ontario (Monday–Thursday), Mass Merchandiser Ontario (Monday/Tuesday).

• Competitive compensation: $16 per hour.

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to spend long periods on feet, walking or moving throughout the store.
• Can lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline‑driven self‑starter.
• Has reliable Wi‑Fi and is tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
