Description

Summary:

Agri Northwest is seeking a hard-working Equipment Operator to join their collaborative team. The ideal candidate takes initiatives to solve and analyze problems, as well as prioritizes safety while operating farm equipment with a high degree of proficiency to accomplish needs of the farm. The Equipment Operator is also expected to complete regular maintenance, repairs, and preparation of equipment for production operations.

Responsibilities
  • Operates with proficiency the following equipment: graders, semi-tractor trailer, dump truck, water truck, belly dump, backhoes, cranes, road grader, front-end loader, excavator, bulldozers, and agriculture equipment.
  • Mechanically inclined and provides maintenance, service, and field repairs.
  • Recognizes warning signals of trouble in equipment so repairs can be made before major trouble occurs.
  • Familiar with all safety devices and emergency shutdown procedures, including lockout-tagout.
  • Understands MSDS sheets, pesticide labels, and application notification procedures, and wears appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
  • Performs other duties, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Driver License
  • Provides necessary quality tools to safely and properly maintain and service equipment.
  • Possesses First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Have at least 2 years experience in operating an excavator and other heavy equipment.
  • Take and pass competent person trenching course within 6 months of being hired.
  • Take and pass crane & boom truck training course within 6 months of being hired.
