As an Account Manager, you are responsible for developing, managing, and growing customer relationships within the food processing industry. You combine strong commercial drive with market and product knowledge to deliver revenue growth, strengthen customer satisfaction, and capture market opportunities. You form a key link between customers, Technical Support, R&D, and the commercial team.

General Responsibilities & Tasks

Customer Management & Business Development

Actively maintain and expand existing customer relationships.

Visit customers regularly to identify and convert commercial opportunities.

Follow up on quotations, orders, and forecasting data.

Initiate and monitor product trials and tests together with Technical Support.

Identify commercial opportunities and new prospects in the market.

Respond proactively to customer questions and complaints and ensure fast, suitable solutions.

Market & Competitor Analysis

Develop an annual business plan and growth strategy for the region/customer portfolio.

Track market developments, trends, and competitor activities (including quarterly reporting).

Gather information about the performance of Solina products at customers versus competitors.

Contribute to marketing activities such as seminars, roadshows, and trade fairs.

Internal Collaboration

Collaborate closely with Technical Support, R&D, Order Administration, and the Sales Manager.

Share relevant customer and market insights with internal teams to support product development and strategic priorities.

Prepare and distribute visit and trial reports.

Align on pricing strategies and commercial proposals.

Knowledge & Experience

Experience in a commercial role within the food sector is preferred.

Understanding of technical product properties in food is an advantage (or willingness to learn).

Good command of administrative systems and reporting processes.

Very good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
