Job Overview
The Procurement Agent II is responsible for providing procurement support from quotation to delivery using current systems and processes. Incumbent shall offer excellent customer service to Project Management and Field personnel, including RFI/RFP/RFQ activities, analyzing quotations, creating and editing purchase orders, coordinating material/equipment deliveries, and assisting with vendor qualification.
Key Responsibilities- Conflict Management
:
Proactively communicate issues, resolve supplier disruptions, and manage escalation to stakeholders. - Functional/Technical Skills
:
Prepare purchase orders, establish bill of materials, expedite shipments, apply contract pricing, and utilize ERP systems for procurement tasks. - Negotiating
:
Obtain and analyze quotes, translate negotiations into agreements, and participate in selective external negotiations. - Organizational Agility
:
Collaborate with internal teams, suggest policy changes, and build informal networks across departments. - Problem Solving
:
Apply continuous improvement concepts, gather data, and use analytic techniques to resolve defined problems. - Process Management
:
Perform tasks within established guidelines, use metrics to monitor adherence, and develop solutions for process improvement. - Drive for Results
:
Plan and complete assignments on time, support onboarding of new agents, and meet daily deadlines to satisfy customers. - Strategic Agility
:
Understand company culture, support corporate strategy, and mentor entry‑level Procurement Agents.
- Education:
Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a relevant trade/industry technical program. - Experience:
2‑5 years of purchasing/buying experience in the electrical industry or a related business. - Computer
Skills:
Proficient use of PC and Microsoft Office Suite; basic knowledge of electrical construction trade and purchasing procedures. - Travel:
Less than 10% with periodic travel to FTI office or job‑site locations. - Work Schedule:
7 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday; overtime may be required.
