Each summer, more than 4,000 high school students come to Auburn and you’ll be part of the team that makes their experience unforgettable.

As a Summer Camp Staff member, you’ll be right in the middle of the action (and behind the scenes), helping camps run smoothly from start to finish. From prepping camp materials and assisting with check-in and check-out to welcoming guests and sharing the Auburn spirit, no two days will look the same. You’ll work alongside other Auburn students, faculty, and staff in an energetic environment where teamwork and flexibility are key.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Be part of an energetic summer team that helps create unforgettable experiences for campers from across the country.
  • Gain hands on experience in organization, teamwork, and customer service, skills that look great on a resume.
  • Get a behind the scenes look at how large campus programs run.
  • Meet fellow Auburn students and staff while building friendships and professional connections.
  • Enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
  • Take pride in knowing your work directly supports Auburn Youth Programs and the Auburn experience.
Essential Functions

A successful Auburn Youth Programs Staff Member will be an Auburn student with a passion for impacting and serving youth. We’re looking for an individual that will work behind the scenes to support the smooth and safe operation of all AYP camps and programs and ensure an extraordinary Auburn Experience for camp participants.

Staff are allowed to take classes but must work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

As a successful AYP Staff Member, you will

  • Auburn Spirit: Welcome guests to campus and demonstrate the Auburn spirit, fostering a positive, engaging environment throughout the summer.
