ONBOARDING EDUCATOR - EDUCATION EAMC MISSION

POSITION SUMMARYThe Onboarding Educator serves as the operation and instructional lead for New Employee Orientation (NEO) and Patient Care Provider Orientation (PCPO) across clinical and non‑clinical staff. This role provides centralized accountability for onboarding continuity, quality, regulatory compliance, and learner experience.
Under the supervision of the Education Manager, the Onboarding Educator coordinates all onboarding logistics; delivers essential regulatory and patient safety education; manages onboarding compliance tracking; ensures a standardized, high‑quality onboarding experience aligned with the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) standards, evidence‑based education practices, and organizational mission, vision, and values; and evaluates the effectiveness of educational programs and provides appropriate documentation of education activities.
Ensures high quality, compassionate healthcare through continued personal, professional development and innovative thinking, and functions as a professional role model for staff.
The Onboarding Educator collaborates with Human Resources, Nursing Leadership, Department Managers, and subject matter experts to promote workforce readiness, early engagement, retention, and survey preparedness. This position functions as the single point of accountability for onboarding operations and continuous improvement.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum Education
- Associate’s degree in nursing; must complete RN to BSN within 24 months of hire.
- Minimum Experience
- Three to Five (3‑5) years of progressive, clinical nursing experience with primary care management of patient population.
- Required Registration/License/Certification
- Registered Nursing License
- BLS must be obtained within first 6 months of hire
- Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Nursing Education or related field
- Preferred Experience
- Demonstrated experience in orientation, education, precepting, or staff development
- Preferred Registration/License/Certification
- Certification in Specialty
- Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC)
