Position Summary
The Controls & Automation Engineer champions the development & support of the site’s production equipment controls and automation infrastructure, keeping abreast of current controls and automation technology to translate opportunity into competitive advantage for Pharmavite.
Responsibilities- Oversee controls and automation systems for assigned production sites and deliver automation and controls capital plans.
- Seamlessly deliver controls and automation projects, ensuring deep customer input, leveraging Pharmavite’s project management methodology and tools.
- Provide robust, timely support to manufacturing operations; day‑to‑day production support is estimated at approximately 15% of time, possibly requiring occasional out‑of‑hours support.
- Lead value creation through identification, planning, and implementation of new controls and automation to give Pharmavite a competitive edge.
- Integrate controls and automation‑related projects into site capital plans and the multi‑year Master Plan.
- Partner with functional groups:
Operational Excellence, Technical Operations SMEs, Engineering project managers and project engineers, Information Technology, Operations team leaders, Operations engineers. - Develop technician capability as the first line of defense for control‑system faults.
- Act as controls and automation lead for larger capital projects under a project manager’s leadership.
- Provide leadership on controls and automation specifications and functional requirements, ensuring user requirements are met.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/controls engineering or 5 years equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Certification: Lean certification is a plus.
- Experience: Five years in a production environment, with demonstrated ability to modify Ladder Logic and experience with Allen‑Bradley control systems.

Ability to problem‑solve at a high level using structured techniques; collaborate across multiple sites; collect, assess, and translate data into business cases; teach and coach technicians; lead teams on large capital projects; possess strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills; recognize business needs and implement technology solutions.
General office environment; ability to sit for long periods and move about an office.
TravelPeriodic travel may be required depending on business needs.
CompensationNational Target Base Pay Range : $80,000.00–$. For candidates in California and the New Yorkmetro, the range is $88,000.00–$.
