Assistant Project Manager

Job Overview

Assistant Project Manager – responsible for general management of mechanical construction builds and projects under the guidance of the Project or Group Manager.

• Provide support to the Project Manager from bid stage through completion.
• Maintain continuous interaction with Project Management to ensure long‑lead materials (electrical gear, mechanical gear, fabrication, etc.) are released and tracked.
• Contact vendors to confirm submittal and equipment delivery timelines.
• Participate in scheduling activities to create milestones and production labor breakouts.
• Attend weekly project sync meetings to communicate project needs and track status of projects and team members.
• Interact with internal and external customers (production, VSL, customers and general contractors) to ensure proper job progress and promote safe behavior.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of construction, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to travel 10–20% of the time.
• Availability to work between 6am and 6pm, Monday through Friday.
