Job Overview

Excellerate Project Manager responsible for general management of electrical and/or specialty systems QAQC and commissioning scopes of work, and for managing commissioning and startup schedules.

• Promotes a positive company culture by fostering friendly and constructive employee relations.
• Develops the QAQC/Commissioning scope, schedule, and budget.
• Reviews outgoing QAQC/Commissioning estimates with Estimating Department to ensure accuracy.
• Utilizes internal functional groups and monitors progress of each deliverable for the project.
• Develops the QAQC/Commissioning safety plan and involves internal safety departments to secure client approval.
• Co‑ordinates with the construction project manager to ensure startup and operational procedures are executed safely and comply with client specifications.
• Coordinates with the client and all affected parties on day‑to‑day startup and commissioning activities, and leads daily, weekly, and monthly meetings (e.g., QAQC/Commissioning meetings, equipment meetings, coordination meetings, scheduling meetings, staffing meetings, Project Manager meetings).
• Manages all QAQC/Commissioning issue logs and coordinates with responsible parties to mitigate and resolve issues.
• Coordinates with third‑party testing/commissioning agencies to ensure proper coverage during commissioning/startup procedures.
• Partners with Human Resources to recruit and select individuals, develop managerial talent, and coach staff.
• Creates a supportive environment that allows mistakes but not failure, providing constructive feedback.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
• Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training/experience.
• 5 years of Project Management, Construction Management, Project Engineering, or Commissioning Management experience.
• 8 years of commissioning/start‑up experience for electrical and/or mechanical systems.
• Experience leading commissioning/start‑up activities for construction projects exceeding $25MM in contract value strongly preferred.
• Proficient in PC, Microsoft Office Suite, Google G‑Suite; knowledge of electrical construction trade preferred.
• Travel up to 100%.
• Typical work hours: 7:00a.m. – 5:00p.m., Monday‑Friday; may perform work at any time to meet business needs.
