Maintenance Supervisor | Food Manufacturing
Full Time | Manufacturing Maintenance | 3rd Shift
About the CompanyGolden State Foods is a food manufacturing company with more than 70 years of experience producing beef patties and protein products for major quick service restaurant brands. The Opelika facility is USDA-inspected and produces billions of hamburger patties annually while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.
Position Overview- Lead day-to-day maintenance operations within a food manufacturing facility
- Supervise maintenance technicians and ensure timely completion of work orders and production support activities
- Manage preventive maintenance programs, spare parts inventory, and equipment reliability initiatives
- Support production goals through downtime reduction and continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and company standards
- Monitor maintenance KPIs, project completion, and cost containment initiatives
- Supervise and develop a maintenance team of 10-20 employees
- Assign and monitor preventive maintenance activities
- Coordinate maintenance projects focused on productivity and reliability improvements
- Partner with production teams to resolve operational issues and improve processes
- Serve as the primary escalation point for maintenance-related concerns
Salary Range: $63,000 - $95,000
Schedule- Full Time
- 3rd Shift
- 3-6 years of maintenance experience REQUIRED
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience REQUIRED
- Experience supervising daily maintenance activities REQUIRED
- Experience scheduling and monitoring preventive maintenance programs REQUIRED
- Experience leading and mentoring maintenance personnel REQUIRED
- Up to 18 months of post-high school education in Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college
- Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
- Equipment troubleshooting and anomaly identification
- Manufacturing maintenance experience
- OSHA and USDA knowledge
