Operations Team Lead – Day Shift 4
Day Shift 4 Operations Team Lead responsible for guiding production team members and ensuring safety, quality, cost and reliability targets are met daily. This role does not provide immigration sponsorship or support.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all team members participate in BBS/MDSE program, attend monthly departmental safety meetings, and properly use required PPE.
- Effectively lead others, apply strong problem‑solving skills, and troubleshoot production matters related to quality and operational issues while meeting deadlines.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members, enabling an agile workforce that is cross‑trained on multiple pieces of equipment, processes, and functions.
- Lead the team to meet or exceed daily shift Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the areas of Operations Equipment Efficiencies (OEE), schedule adherence, and changeovers.
- Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify key losses and improve throughput and yield.
- Assist in driving root cause problem‑solving with urgency and ensure the team uses AM tools such as finding and fixing defects and completing Clean, Inspect and Lubricate (CIL).
- Facilitate and troubleshoot technical problems to overcome routine manufacturing equipment issues within areas of responsibility.
- Maintain audit readiness by using departmental GMP audit scores to improve ratings.
- Lead and coordinate equipment changeover, work assignments, and focus on Rapid Change Over (RCO) reductions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Two (2) years’ progressive experience in packaging operations and/or manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to lead, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, drive improvement results, and sustain team engagement.
Capabilities & Skills Required- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Proficient English ability; capable of reading, understanding, and communicating written instructions, manuals, and other operational information.
- Basic knowledge of JD Edwards Enterprise One system or comparable systems for work order close‑out.
- Strong mathematical skills; use calculator/computer for routine calculations and maintain production and cleaning logs.
- Knowledge of cGMP, basic safety practices in an industrial environment, and familiarity with production goals and performance objectives.
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and fix equipment malfunctions.
- Practical leadership experience, coaching and influencing others.
Salary range: $46,000.00 – $76,000.00. Total rewards package may include an annual performance bonus, medical, dental and vision benefits, 401(k) match, and additional wellness benefits.
