Position Summary:

The Tableting Department Leader will inspire manufacturing operations to achieve timely daily, weekly, and monthly results in safety, quality, cost, and reliability while meeting department schedule adherence and attainment goals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and set the standard and tone for the team, modeling Pharmavite’s purpose, beliefs, and values.
  • Drive schedule adherence and attainment goals to deliver customer requirements and meet deadlines.
  • Ensure productivity, safety, housekeeping, and quality product goals are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate daily scheduling with other departments to facilitate flow of materials and finished goods.
  • Monitor shift operations and sustain continual improvement for first‑time‑right mentality.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Distribution, HR, Tech Ops, Engineering, Planning, Operational Excellence and Receiving departments to expedite flow of raw materials, compounds, bulk, and finished product.
  • Communicate shop‑floor issues to the Operations Engineer and investigate NCCAPAs in partnership with Operations Engineer and Quality.
  • Champion and coach teams on AM projects.
  • Perform analysis of raw material usage and product yields to meet or exceed standards.
  • Prioritize work to meet customer, quality and safety needs, positively impacting production metrics.
  • Ensure safe practices are performed and unsafe behaviors or conditions are corrected.
  • Provide technical support to staff for equipment and processes (troubleshoot and develop control techniques).
  • Oversee operating expenditures to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education
  • Four‑year degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Certification
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean/Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum four years of manufacturing/CPG experience, including supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Specific experience in the department is preferred.
  • Ability to work 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts, including alternate weekend on a date schedule.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Knowledge of SOPs, cGMPs within a CPG environment.
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving environment and adjusting to changing job requirements.
  • Experience leading and coaching AM projects.
  • Experience performing audits related to cGMPs, Batch Record Accuracy, and TPM requirements.
  • Good organizational, analytical, problem‑solving, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, JD Edwards MRP, PowerPoint; working knowledge in MRP, WMS, & radio frequency systems.
  • Ability to lead delivery of required results in safety, quality, productivity and cost each shift, ensuring succeeding shifts are set up for success.
  • Experience coaching, developing and building high‑performing teams, including cross training and empowering individuals.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate operational tasks and duties.
  • General manufacturing experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment preferred.
Environment

Exposure to disagreeable elements typical of a manufacturing environment; safety is paramount. The incumbent will perform this job safely without endangering self or others.

Supervisory Responsibility

Direct supervisory responsibility for 15 to 25 employees.
