Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor will lead daily maintenance operations in a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and managing preventive maintenance programs while leading a team of technicians to support production goals and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of work orders
- Respond quickly to production breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) programs
- Lead and mentor a team of 10–20 maintenance technicians
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and safety standards
- Plan and execute maintenance-related projects to improve efficiency
- Monitor and control maintenance budgets
- Track KPIs such as:
- Downtime reduction
- Cost savings
- Equipment performance
- Partner with production and cross-functional teams
- Communicate maintenance standards and expectations
- Act as escalation point for maintenance-related issues
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Identify and resolve equipment performance issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- 3–6 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
- Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory/lead role
- Experience leading teams of 10–20 employees
- Strong experience with:
- Preventive maintenance programs
- Production equipment troubleshooting
- Knowledge of:
- Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with OSHA and USDA regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Equipment troubleshooting and maintenance planning
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Knowledge of manufacturing maintenance practices
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
- Technical education (vocational / engineering / electronics)
- Experience in food manufacturing or USDA-regulated environment
- Experience identifying equipment anomalies and improving performance
- Project management experience
- Leadership and team development

- Technical diploma / associate degree (preferred)
