Shift: Night Shift 7.

The Packaging Line Technician sets up and operates a variety of automated equipment, inspects, packs, and palletizes finished products, and ensures continuous monitoring to meet quality, production, and safety goals while maintaining cGMP compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate automatic and semi-automatic filling and labeling equipment.
  • Determine appropriate slat for production run and manually adjust controls.
  • Supply bulk to packaging lines and remove finished products.
  • Use computer programming unit to adjust controls and machine operation.
  • Continuously monitor equipment and products for quality; pack product in boxes, seal, and load onto pallets.
  • Maintain routine logs and records of cleaning and production activities.
  • Perform in-process quality checks, pull and retain samples, inspect tablets, capsules, and bottles, and remove defective units without slowing line.
  • Notify Line Lead or Supervisor of production disruptions as soon as possible.
  • Assemble and review product batch records for cGMP compliance to facilitate approval of finished product.
  • Play a major role in continuous process improvement of the packaging line.
  • Train and cross‑train other operators in all functions of the production line.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Disassemble and sanitize equipment at product closeout; wash parts and machinery with water and sanitizing agents and dry as necessary.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and safety procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent with 5 years work history.
  • Certification: None.
  • Experience: 6 months manufacturing and/or warehousing experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Reading English to understand SOPs and cGMP, packaging standards, and labeling instructions.
    • Communicating effectively in English.
    • Basic addition, multiplication, and division for equipment adjustment calculations.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in operating manufacturing‑type machinery.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Stand/walk whole shift with limited ability to move from station unless relieved.
    • Perform repetitive job duties for long periods.
    • Intermittently lift or move loads up to 50 lbs with pallet jacks or other mechanical aids.
    • Move boxes of product on/offline and/or pallets using pallet jack, hoist, etc.
    • Have manual dexterity to manipulate equipment controls, small containers, and hand tools.
    • Walk up and down stairs and use ladders.
    • Endure constant exposure to noise requiring hearing protection; temperature, fumes, vibration, dust may cause minor discomfort.
    • Wear protective eyewear, hair net, uniform, safety shoes, and gloves when handling products.
  • Safety: Must perform all duties safely in accordance with SOPs and cGMP, without endangering self or others.
