Miele Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a QM Technician to support quality operations at the Opelika Plant. In this role, you will conduct testing and inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure all quality standards are met while supporting production and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine and non-routine testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
- Perform inspections using specialized equipment such as 3D measuring machines, force measurement tools, and functional testing devices
- Interpret test results, compare findings to specifications, and recommend product release decisions
- Perform visual inspections and in-process quality checks
- Conduct incoming material inspections and handle nonconforming materials, including documentation and supplier communication
- Complete long-term testing and product audits
- Maintain, calibrate, and validate laboratory equipment
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards within the lab environment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report irregularities
- Document and compile test data, including reports, logs, and analysis
- Investigate and report questionable or inconsistent test results
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality requirements are met
- Support quality functions for contract manufacturing as needed
- High School diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in quality control, manufacturing, or laboratory testing preferred
- Ability to interpret technical data and follow detailed procedures
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Familiarity with testing equipment and quality processes is a plus
- Manufacturing and laboratory setting
- Requires standing, inspecting, and handling materials throughout the shift
- Collaborative environment working closely with production and quality teams
