TES Lab Assistant

Overview

The Kroeger Lab is seeking a detail‑oriented individual to support daily laboratory operations, assisting in planning, maintaining or completing research programs and/or projects.

• Performs mouse colony management
• Performs mouse genotyping on various transgenic strains
• Harvests mouse brain tissue and performs histological processing and analysis
• Records and analyzes data from behavioral experiments with mice, such as analyzing sleep/wake states based on EEG data
• Assists with running behavioral experiments with mice, such as the Morris Water Maze or Object Recognition test
• Maintains lab routines and orders supplies
• Prepares data and graphs for presentation
• Assists in the development of research proposals, plans and protocols
• Conducts routine or fundamental experiments, investigations and/or studies related to programs and projects in pursuit of new knowledge, techniques and concepts
• May instruct students and/or supervise others’ research in area of expertise
