Position: (USA) Asset Protection Operations Coach

Position Summary

Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory level management, cleanliness of the area, assessing economic trends and community needs, overseeing the stocking and rotation of merchandise, setting up cleaning and organizing product displays, and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise. Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; touring stores, providing feedback, touring to teach, and communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations.

Utilizes technology-based business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction, introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides business solutions to implement objectives. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer‑service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer‑service initiatives such as community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs and complaints are successfully resolved, developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies, and providing process‑improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring associates, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, recruiting, and developing qualified associates.

Controls the unexplained loss of merchandise and improves profitability by identifying and communicating performance goals and objectives, building accountability for policies and procedures, reviewing variances to inventory reports, and conducting operational and pre‑inventory reviews. Determines correction strategies for inventory‑control deficiencies, communicates with managers and associates to implement corrective actions, and trains managers and associates on operational controls and processes. Detects, deters, investigates, and resolves violations of company policies and criminal activities;

conducts investigations, gathers evidence, writes case reports, and provides courtroom testimony; partners in collaborative efforts with other investigative entities. Monitors safety and risk controls, supervises safety team members, identifies accident trends, and implements solutions. Manages facility‑level training and execution of asset‑protection, safety and claims and receiving procedures, and manages claims and receiving operations with proper policies and procedures. Coordinates job‑related activities and assignments with key stakeholders, supports plans and initiatives, and communicates goals.

Ensures compliance with company policies, promotes regulatory compliance, supports the Open Door Policy, and fosters a culture of belonging. Empowers and develops talent, maintains integrity, and serves customers and members consistently, ensuring a positive customer experience while balancing short‑ and long‑term priorities.
