Garden Center Lead

Family Roots Nursery & Garden Centeris seeking a knowledgeable, dependable Garden Center Lead to help coordinate daily retail operations, guide employees, care for plants, and provide excellent customer service.

The Garden Center Lead helps keep each shift organized, productive, and customer-ready. This position is responsible for directing daily garden center operations and leading staff, delivering hands‑on customer service and plant‑care expertise, and maintaining a safe, organized environment while coordinating inventory and events with management.

This is a hands-on lead position. The Lead works alongside the team while helping employees understand priorities and complete work to the expected standard.

Candidates should bring practical plant and retail experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to organize work, give clear direction, and work independently. Dependability, good judgment under pressure, and comfort with point-of-sale systems are essential.

Previous leadership, employee‑training, merchandising, inventory, receiving, or opening‑and closing experience is preferred but not required.

We offer plants, gardening products, bulk landscape materials, seasonal goods, educational activities, and community events.
