DescriptionWest Fraser's Opelika Sawmill is hiring for a Reliability Technician role.
What you will do:
- Adhere to all mill safety and operating guidelines
- Collect equipment condition data to prevent unplanned failures
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM's) such as maintaining equipment fluid levels, ensure proper lubrication, and monitor equipment health
- Utilize predictive technologies including but not limited to vibration, thermal imaging (IR), and ultrasonic emission (UE)
What you need to be successful:
- Must have demonstrated good attendance, safety, and work record
- Experience in industrial applications
- Pass our Mechanical Reasoning Assessment with a minimum score
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-year technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Training and/or expertise in condition monitoring and sensors
- Training and/or experience in Predictive Maintenance Technologies
- MLT certification
