I.

Job Description:

The maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime by quick in-depth troubleshooting abilities and a world class preventative maintenance program. The desirable candidate must be able to work with others in a fast-paced environment, have a strong work ethic with a high attention to detail, and a get it done attitude. Uses the company’s ERP system to setup, manage, and maintain the maintenance schedule of injection molding machinery and equipment.

II.

Required Skills:

5 years’ experience, to include but not limited to, in the following fields of maintenance:
Aviation, Automotive Service Technician, HAVAC, Factory or Facility Maintenance
Preferred:
Technical certification and/or associates degree related to an industrial related field
Must be able to read and decipher electrical and hydraulic schematics
Strong troubleshooting skills
Preferred:
Supervisory or scheduling background

III.

Essential Functions:

Maintenance of plastic injection molding machinery.
Repair auxiliary equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility as required.
Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment. Maintain industrial control system.
Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
Facilities and building maintenance.
Create report(s) for repairs by the end of shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.
Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices, machine, and forklift operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.
Installation of New Equipment
Retrofit/Upgrade of Existing Equipment
Basic Machining Skills
Source parts and build necessary spare parts strategy and inventory for limited down time.

IV.

Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and random drug testing
Must sign a confidentiality/non-compete agreement
Capable of standing/walking for entire shift and must have visual and auditory capability in an industrial setting
US Citizenship is required, and must have English fluent in reading and writing
Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift 50 pounds without assistance
Must have a valid driver’s license;limited travel may be required
