Opelousas area building materials company is currently seeking several fabrication workers to cut materials for structures / kits.
Responsibilities- Operate miter saws, chop saws, circular saws, drill presses, sawzalls, radial arm saws, and other stationary saws to cut through treated and fiberglass materials.
- Cut materials for structures / kits.
- Have good measurement skills.
- Assist in yardhand duties: stocking, receiving materials, inventory, and other general yard duties.
- Be detailed, comfortable working partially outdoors, and work well with others as part of a team.
- Lifting, stooping, and bending involved with this position.
- Use steel-toe boots and other required PPE.
- Opportunity for overtime.
- Pre-employment screening.
- Fabrication / previous cutting equipment experience needed (see description).
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- This position requires lifting, bending stooping, pushing and pulling.
$13/hr full-time, long-term position. Daytime hours, 7am - 3:30pm (Mon - Fri).
