Providence Staffing is partnering with a leading private pediatric dental practice in Mobile, Alabama
, dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate dental care to children in a welcoming and family-centered environment. The practice is seeking a Pediatric Dentist who is passionate about children’s oral health and values work-life balance, with the flexibility to work as few as three days per week
.
The Pediatric Dentist will be responsible for delivering comprehensive dental care to infants, children, and adolescents, including patients with special healthcare needs. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, skilled in pediatric treatment techniques, and committed to creating positive dental experiences for young patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Review and evaluate patients’ medical and dental histories to assess oral health needs
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric dental examinations, including evaluation of teeth, gums, jaw development, and oral tissues
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric dental conditions such as cavities, early childhood caries, and gum disease
- Develop and implement age-appropriate treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs
- Perform restorative and preventive procedures, including fillings, sealants, fluoride treatments, and space maintainers
- Provide behavior management and anxiety-reduction techniques to ensure a positive patient experience
- Perform surgical and advanced procedures as appropriate, including extractions and pulp therapy
- Prescribe medications when necessary to manage pain or infection
- Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care
- Monitor growth and development of the dentition and recommend orthodontic referrals when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program
- Active Alabama dental license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Alabama
- Strong knowledge of pediatric dental anatomy, growth, and development
- Experience treating pediatric patients, including those with anxiety or special needs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with children and parents
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Competitive compensation: $150,000 – $400,000 annually, based on experience and production
