The Aide supports the delivery of engaging educational and recreational programs for small groups of elementary‑aged children, from Pre‑K through 6th grade. This role involves actively leading and assisting with activities that promote academic enrichment, artistic expression, physical development, and social growth. Aides help maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment while supporting participants’ overall development and skill building.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no formal supervisory authority over City employees. The incumbent provides direct supervision, instruction, and leadership to program participants during activities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, swim, crouch, bend, and kneel while leading and participating in activities. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in indoor and outdoor conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
