Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary: The Retail Sales Associate plays a very important role. This position is essential to greet and engage with all guests, as you are a very important impression of the business. Below are the fundamental areas that each Retail Sales Associate must perform on a daily basis to ensure positive retail operations.

• Inform customers about sales, promotions, and upcoming events
• Build guest relationships through excellent customer service and honest recommendations
• Effectively process transactions through Gift Shop POS system
• Stock and merchandise sales floor as directed
• Process incoming merchandise as directed
• Assist in maintaining organization and cleanliness of back stock room and the sales floor
• Enthusiasm to work during peak business hours including weekends and holidays
• Help guests navigate the Coastal property when needed
• Other related duties as directed by management

• Must have solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate with guests, peers, and management
• Ability to multitask while being attentive to guests and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to process cash and credit card transactions
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic attitude with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
• Must be able to adapt in an open air concept to seasonal weather conditions
• Previous retail experience or similar experience on the sales floor a plus
• Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds

The pay for this position is $15 per hour.
