The Broker serves as a representative for the sale or purchase of a yacht or boat.

• Develop and maintain effective, friendly working relationships with staff, members, guests and deal with conflict effectively, courteously, and tactfully
• Responding to member questions and needs via phone, email and in person
• Market the vessel for sale, field interest and inquiries from buyers and handle negotiations
• Attend inspections, water trials, and delivery
• Assist a client in locating and qualifying a vessel
• Assist with purchase negotiations
• Available to work overtime to meet deadlines
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

• Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area.
• Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years’ sales experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of nautical navigation
• Any skills considered standard that a Broker should possess
